Professional Liability Insurance and Legal Defence Coverage

Professional Liability Insurance and Legal Defence Coverage is mandatory for all certified active members of CSMLS. Members who purchase PLI coverage from their provincial society (ON, QC, SK) may sign a waiver to request exemption from this requirement. The cost is $13 (plus provincial sales tax in ON, QC and NL).

PLI is also mandatory for all certified laboratory assistant members (members who purchase PLI coverage from the Ontario Society of Medical Technologists are exempt). The cost is $7 (plus PST in Ontario).
